Year 2002 - 2003 Grant Recipients

The Irene W. and Guy L Anderson Children's Foundation made grant money available to non-profit groups and organizations in the Coachella Valley whose purpose is meeting the unmet needs of the youth of the Coachella Valley.

Grant applications were reviewed and chosen by a 5 member non-partisan committee representing, as best as possible, the geographic areas and ethnic diversities of the Coachella Valley. Project originality and diversity was considered for a maximum of $25,000.00 and grants for lesser amounts. Emphasis was placed on programming which focused on the unmet needs of Coachella Youths.

There were a total of 78 applicants requesting grants from the Anderson Children's Foundation this year.  A total amount  of funding requested through the process was $1,056,671.45.  Out of these 22 were selected.
