The Irene W. and Guy L Anderson Children's
Foundation made grant money available to non-profit groups and
organizations in the Coachella Valley whose purpose is meeting the
unmet needs of the youth of the Coachella Valley.
Grant applications for the 2005 -
2006 grant cycle were reviewed and chosen by a 7 member non-partisan
committee representing, as best as possible, the geographic areas and
ethnic diversities of the Coachella Valley. Project originality and
diversity is considered for a maximum of $30,000.00 and grants for
lesser amounts. Emphasis is placed on programming which focuses on the
unmet needs of Coachella youths.
There were a total of 89 applicants
requesting Grants from the Anderson Children’s Foundation this year. A

$1,967,235.71. Out of these, 29 were selected totaling $575,000.00 to be
