Year 2007 - 2008 Grant Recipients

The Irene W. and Guy L Anderson Children's Foundation made grant money available to non-profit groups and organizations in the Coachella Valley whose purpose is meeting the unmet needs of the youth of the Coachella Valley.

Grant applications for the 2007 - 2008 grant cycle were reviewed and chosen by a 7 member non-partisan committee representing, as best as possible, the geographic areas and ethnic diversities of the Coachella Valley. Project originality and diversity was considered for a maximum of $50,000.00 and grants for lesser amounts. Emphasis was placed on programming which focuses on the unmet needs of Coachella youths.

There were a total of 137 applicants requesting grants from the Anderson Children’s Foundation this year. The total amount of funding requested through the grant process was $4,591,389.00. Out of these, 32 were selected totaling $806,659.00 to be distributed.
